JubiBabies

4/6/2012

Picture
Today dawned wet and cold. The wind blew from the north-east and Mum and Dad looked hunchy. Out came the hats and gloves and fleeces and we scooted around from stable to barn to keep as dry as possible whilst gobbling up the tasty morsels on offer. The slugs abounded - small ones, big ones, fat ones, thin ones in an array of sluggish colours. The branches of the trees, now heavy with their summer coats, bent over in damp and drippy arcs. We spotted Mr Fox springing about near the gate in the paddock - intermittently being dive-bombed by Margeurite Magpie.

And we chuckled at Pete and his Chums as they sat and watched from a safe distance.
Well we now have babies everywhere! One Cub; Baby Bramble the fawn; Wilf the Greater Spotted Woodpecker and his wife have at least one chubby red-headed baby at Wattlebury Cottage and the Blue Tits are making one heck of a noise from the box on the shed. And Sylvia and I have quite a few young relatives now, too. I feel at this point we must apologise for the quality of photos that Mum takes on our behalf for the Diary and we have made her promise that the first thing she buys when her and Dad win the Lottery - is a new camera for us! So we will try and get some pictures of our new family members and post them tomorrow. Hope you are all enjoying your Jubilee Bank Holiday! Love Gordon and Sylvia xxx

    About Us

Hello! My name is Gordon and I am a Gold Sebright and my best friend is Sylvia. She is a Silver Sebright. We live with our foster parents on a small farm in the country.  We thought that we would put our take on life and what we get up to through the year into a diary for you. All the characters are real and the events are a true record,  interpreted with a modicum of poetic licence. We hope you enjoy it. Love Gordon and Sylvia
