We had some really beautiful weather during the last week or so of May. After the rain of the earlier part of May, the sun brought out a multitude of bugs and creatures and more Tangle. The Honeysuckle fought her way through the undergrowth and her beautiful perfume filled the air with it's delicate fragrance. The Elder flowers shone vibrantly in their clusters amongst the green hedgerows and at last the Ash burst into leaf. We watched Mrs Fox and her One Cub play in the corner of the paddock by the Field Shelter. On a very warm night last week they left the den and we have only seen glimpses of them and Mr Fox as they follow their well worn paths around the fields. Their earth was tucked beside a big oak tree and an assortment of 'toys' were left in the surrounding area. One well chewed yoghurt pot looked as if it had been particularly popular! Then the other morning we noticed that Harvey was staring transfixed out of the window of Mum's car and we tiptoed to look over the little gate by the rew. There was Mysty in the middle of the field and she in turn was staring at the hedgerow. Two larger Roe Deer cantered through, a male and a female and Mysty dropped quickly to the ground and became almost completely hidden in the long grass save but her head watching intently. As soon as the other two had left the field, Mysty rose to her feet and walked slowly along nibbling as she went - and there bopping beside her was the tiniest baby you have ever seen! Congratulations Mysty! Gordon & Sylvia xxx

About UsHello! My name is Gordon and I am a Gold Sebright and my best friend is Sylvia. She is a Silver Sebright. We live with our foster parents on a small farm in the country. We thought that we would put our take on life and what we get up to through the year into a diary for you. All the characters are real and the events are a true record, interpreted with a modicum of poetic licence. We hope you enjoy it. Love Gordon and Sylvia Archives
