It was an early start and jolly frosty - amazing as it is now May. But warm and snug in Dad's car as he made us comfortable for the journey to The Spring Garden Show at Ardingly.
It has been a busy and very exciting few days lately at Wattlebury. There are chicks - lots of them - and the robin and blackbird have babies too. Farmer Richard has two sets of twin lambs in our field and one single little fellow. There are another three ewes still to lamb. The oak trees this year are well ahead of the ash, the bluebells are carpeting and the cowslips and milkmaids are waving. What a lovely time of the year.
And if you are so inclined - pop along to the Show and say 'Hello' - it would be lovely to meet you! Gordon and Sylvia xxx
